Joliverre is a unique, handcrafted collection of individually designed jewellery and items for the home.  Each item is designed and lovingly handcrafted by me, so no two items are ever the same, making them unique and special gifts, to give at any time of the year.

My range of jewellery and homeware is constantly evolving. and I am currently using silver, copper, art and dichroic glass and lampwork glass to make my own beads using a bulk fuel propane torch.   I use a butane torch and kiln for silver and copper pieces and a large kiln for fusing glass which I use in my jewellery and homeware (e.g. coasters, suncatchers, bowls, plates etc.) ranges.
 
My homeware range tends to be eclectic, using lots of iridescents and at the moment, I am concentrating on glass weaving.
 
My jewellery range is quite unusual as I use the glass cabochons and beads that I make and incorporate them into either art glass, silver and/or copper, which I also make from scratch.  I sometimes use semi-precious stones and shells or other natural products.  


Using fusing glass and dichroic glass together to make a piece of jewellery is incredibly exciting because dichroic glass, once fired in a kiln, produces amazing colours and textures which vary according to the light that's around at any particular time.  This is what makes a piece of my jewellery so individual ...... it also allows you to wear one piece with a few different outfits - which is very handy!  I also use silver and copper as well as semi-precious stones and shell which as natural products, look stunning in the silver or copper settings.  Have a look at my "Gallery" and you will see jewellery that is as individual as you are!

I feel very privileged to have been one of only 8 people in the UK to have completed the fantastic Glass Weaving Course taught by Brad Walker of the USA (www.warmglass.com, arguably the most comprehensive resource in the world for warm glass artists).  Please see the "Gallery" for images of our work at different stages of development.

I attend many Craft Fairs, Gala Days etc. and I'm constantly fascinated by the reactions my products receive from the public.   People find it hard to believe that some of these pieces are made from scratch using bits of glass - some think when first arriving at my exhibit, that the "stones" (cabochons) are just bought in and thrown together to make a necklace or earrings, a ring or cufflinks - but when I explain it to them and they realise how unique each piece is, they become really excited and start studying and appreciating the detail and work that goes into each creation.   Lovely!!
